Is there a financial target for this year?

I don't know about this saying but I know that we must always have plan B in every of our plans because if things changes, we gats to continue saving without being bankrupt due to changes.

I've been financially drained at the moment. My dad got diagnosed of kidney disease and that really changed a whole lot of my plans. I am getting back and know that tomorrow will definitely be better.

I wonder who doesn't have a financial target for each year? It means the person isn't reasoning well or responsible enough because even Elon Musk have a final target with his company every year.
