Has there been a song released that you feel should have done better?

We see so many songs released daily and even though some songs do really well, you always get one or two that may end up not doing as well as you thought they would. Some songs you may find are great but for some reason, they may not sell as well as other songs for whatever reason.

Has there been a song released that you feel should have done better in terms of sales?

I can't think of any song that was so good which never did well in sales. They are not two opposing sides because once a songs is so good, it buys in a million sales. The one which I know have happened to a few songs is when they are not good but have a good fan base who loves it so much and I will support it to the end.

It's not easy to write songs and actually produce it. This is why I have respect for any songs that's been released because it takes a lot of work before a song is released. Do I have any knowledge on how to produce song? No, so I can't judge another who released.

Honestly, I can't think of any song which was badly written and sang too. There might be one but I haven't listened to it yet. I can't rule off there's not going to be a bad song but until I listen to one, then I'll pick on it.

It's never easy to write songs and produce it as well. Every songs I have listened to or that have released have gone a long way to make it out in the world and I believe that there's nothing bad to say about any song.

"No Good To Cry" by the Wildweeds released back in 1967. This recording should have done much better than charting # 80 on Billboard. I truly believe that if it were released today in a movie, it would chart much higher and be liked by a whole new generation.

Lil Wayne’s latest album Tha Carter VI was that bad in my opinion. It's his 14th solo studio album which was released on 6th June 2025. It didn't live up to my expectations.

Al Anderson had a powerful voice. He went on to do NRBQ and then to write songs for country artists. He still is in music. As far as charting, that year was up against some tough competition. You could be right it might chart better at another time . I do not go by charting. There are so many great songs that get bypassed. And in that day and time, listening/discovering songs were a little hampered by what the radio stations would play in any particular area.

You should check out the cover of "No Good To Cry" by The Moving Sidewalks. Their arrangement was very good. Two of that group went on to found ZZ Top.
