Being born in the early 50s, I have had the pleasure of experiencing the rock and roll revolution as it happened throughout my life. I truly appreciate and admire all the muscicians that have contributed their talents over the years and I do not prejudice any genre of rock and roll. I give credit to all forms of rock and roll, whether it be ballads, oldies, soul, rhythm and blues, punk and alternative rock, country, jazz, blues and doo wop.

Thanks for the compliment. I enjoy rock and roll the most as I find that it is the most diverse music ever created by many of the talented musicians who have contributed their talents to this genre of music. I especially like some of the music and talented writers of the 70s and of course the great harmonic groups of the 50s and 60s. I think some of the early rappers of the 80s introduced us to the great rap styles which then turned into hip-hop. The 60s gave us some of the greatest folk music artists such as Bob Dylan, Peter Paul and Mary and the rock and roll style of the Beatles, Beach Boys, and the soulful sound of the sixties from Motown, etc.
 
That’s a great perspective. Having lived through the evolution of rock and roll gives you a unique appreciation for how all those genres connect and influence each other. It’s refreshing to see someone who values the whole spectrum, from early ballads and blues to punk and alternative, without drawing lines between styles.
