Is promoting a song on a radio still effective?

Yes, I know this is 2025, and radio advertisement is getting relegated to the background . But a recent survey shows that a decent number of people still listen to radio on a daily basis. So personally, I believe that promoting one’s song on a radio station is still a good way to get it noticed.
Have you given it a try recently? How effective was it?

Yes, some people are still listening to radio on daily basis but I stopped to do that some years ago not that it wasn't effective but I get every news from social media. The reason why they still listen to radio is because it's still effective to them.

I have not given it a try because I'm not an artist but then I used to listen to radio very well. People used that medium to promote their songs and I think it's working because some of the songs that I started to listen to are from radio that I get to know about them.

It is still a very good way to get your music out there. A lot of people still listen to music on the radio and there is a chance that your music reaches a wider audience when you market it on the radio.

Radio promotion is still effective, especially for reaching local audiences, building credibility, and reinforcing repetition. However, it works best when you combine with streaming, social media, and live promotion, rather than as a standalone strategy.
