I was discussing with a close friend earlier and he says his desire to listen to music is reducing on a daily basis. I was surprised because he is someone that used to listen throughout the day.
He said it’s because sometimes the songs being released nowadays are below par.

Do you find yourself losing interest in music? What is the reason?

Hi Kennysplash!

Personally I haven't ever felt that way but maybe your friend is referring to certain genres? If so, I can certainly feel that way about modern western pop music. However, I've fallen in love with many different cultures of music!

I love oldies, opera, korean romance songs, irish bagpipes, ragae, african drums, rap instrumentals, film scores, etc.!

I hope your friend's love/desire to listen to music reduce further

No, I have never lost interest in playing music generally. I might lose interest in playing a particular song because I might have played it for too long but can never lose interest in songs.

Though songs of nowadays isn't making much sense like years before but It's not possible to lose interest in something that have been keeping me going. Playing music has been one of my backbone and I will continue to listen to them, finding the ones that suit my mood.

I will be 42 years old by August. In all of my years being a lover of all manners of music, I've never lost interest in any of them. There's a meaning to any song I'm playing which makes it hard for me to wake up one day and lose interest in it.

While some music that are being released nowadays are substandard, it doesn't mean that I have lost interest in music. For what it is worth, I can keep listening to the old classics which are more meaningful.

Sometimes I wonder the loud of music being released these days by the so called gen zs. A
Whack lyrics, if all fails it is to go back to classics.

It is the reason why I don't like listening to musics that are boring because they tend to make me to lose interest in that kind of music as quickly as possible.
