Hello, new here!

Just wanted to say a quick hello. I love music of all sorts, mostly rock and pop, with a particular affection for doo-wop and oldies. However, I don't restrict myself to that genre. I love classical music, too, and am currently learning about opera.

I'm looking forward to learning a lot on this site and meeing kindred spirits.

Hello RepeatMover, I am also a multiple-genre music lover, I just think that music in general is beautiful, and all genre express that. Another user on this forum made a website that you can explore different bands from around the world, I think you might like it:

I unfortunately do not play any instruments, unless you count the clarinet in grade, middle, and high school. I wish I did play something, because I feel like that would give me a much better appreciation and understanding of the technical aspects of music, and of music in general.

I love the psychological aspects of music and even conducted a mini-study and wrote a thesis many years back. I would have loved to have a career in music therapy, but to do that one must not only be able to play an instrument but also compose—at least, in the programs I checked out—so that was a no-go for me.

How about you? I assume from your avatar you are a musician. I'm betting many people here are.

No, I have an HP desktop PC, which will soon be getting replaced by a laptop ().

Hey, @Itsthatguy, your site is so interesting! I've been enjoying looking around and exploring some of the bands. Is there a way, though, to minimize the large black "Information" box to get a clearer view of the world map?
