What inspires you when song writing?

Some people find it easy to come up with ideas for song writing whilst others struggle a little more.

Most of the time, those who write songs tend to have methods that help inspire them to help with ideas when it comes to writing a new song.

What do you find inspires you when you write a new song?
 
My personal story helps me out together good lyrics. There are times when I have a lot of interesting and exciting moments of life. I get inspiration from them to write songs.
 
I am not a song writer even though I enjoy music a lot. I have a friend that's good in song writing. In many occasions, he can be inspired by anything. Just looking round him, playing music or even walking on the road gives him more edge in composing and writing his songs.

This is actually an amazing gift that comes to very few people. If he’s able to come up with great songs and verses, just by being observant to what is happening around him, then he can achieve a lot in the industry.

He can achieve a lot with songs. He still needs guidelines and popular artists that can make the way so easy for him. Nowadays, it's hard to be popular.
 
I'm not a song writer but when I was in high school, it was made compulsory that we will write a song every morning. I used to write about my life, dream jobs and future life.
