Today, I would say that the music industry is already saturated. Newbie upcoming artists have so many challenges that makes it very difficult to become very popular in the industry. It doesn't matter how good they can sing, without having the right promotion team, it's not possible to be successful.

Most of these musical niches are over saturated. It is harder for new artists to break into the spotlight now than before.
