How Old Were You When You First Started Songwriting?

I haven't done any songwriting in a very long time but I remember when I was around 8 years old, I loved to write and one of the things I enjoyed writing was songs. I would sit for hours coming up with ideas and jotting them down and creating my own songs.

I believe if I were to sit and put my mind to it, I could probably still write songs.

That's great, Shortie. I have loads of ideas and have even recorded one of my songs but I've done nothing with them as I wasn't allowed to pursue my dream and at my age it's too late.

I don't like writing songs but I am good with listening and playing songs. I think I don't have talent for poem writing, the only thing I can do is to write short notes or fictional stories.

It's a start, Sara, at least you're creative.

I started at the age of 14 years. I took a learning course in music that year which boosted my interest in song writing. Since then, I never stopped writing.

I think I wrote my first song at the age of 12, though after I went through it some years later they made no sense to me whatsoever.
