Hi, my name is Riley (K is my second initial) and ai am new here. I’m not awfully good at music but I aspire to get better!
I have a gig (sign up is tomorrow) at my place of study. It is 25 hours long to raise money for charity. Because of this, I will probably be called on randomly for a piece. For context I play piano and drums, and the issue for me is that I can’t read sheet music. It takes me about 20 minutes to learn a piece on drums though and 40 minutes for a piece on piano. I already know like three pieces that everybody else can do (one on piano and two on drums). I want to do the gig because for the last two times I have missed it and this is my last year at this place.
I just want to get better at learning a piece quickly because they will call on us randomly.
