Are you still friends with your ex?

I've seen some people who are still friends with their ex and they talk very often even when they are in a new relationship. I don't understand it because it's a big disrespect to your new partner if you're still getting on with your ex.

Are you still friends with your ex?

Whenever there was a breakup, I was always friends with an ex. Well, actually my relationship with someone not an ex was way worse. I could not be friends with her after moving out of a house with her. It's because she is very controlling and nagging.

I have read books or heard people said that 'ex' means 'expired human being'😂😂... I can't believe I have being dealing with a human that will expire one day.

Anyway, I don't have an ex. I make sure that we settled on a mutual ground if I am no longer interested. I am happy that I am still in touch with my childhood friend till date even though we dated back then and I was angry at him. I forgave him and make sure we don't have any outstanding issue before we go our separate ways.

Settling amicably with an ex partner is a great move. There is no point in holding grudges. This is someone that you use to love, and hating them outrightly won't work easily. I will certainly forgive an ex, but I will never let them come into my life again.

I wouldn't want to have anything to do with an ex, especially when this ex-girlfriend is the one that cheated in a relationship. I dislike cheating so much, and being cheated on will definitely destroy anything that I have to do with anyone.

I am very much not still friends with my ex. We have children together but due to the situation and the fact the relationship was mentally abusive, I chose to leave to better mine and my kids lives and he has never been too bothered to want to be in his children's lives.

I could never have still been friends with him after what I went through.

I don't know how to hate people. I can forgive them but I will stop talking to them for a long period of time. The only thing that can bring relief to them is that I will make sure that I greets or accept their greetings if our paths cross.

A rule of thumb is to not get emotional over breakups. Also, if you're a guy, its looks incredibly weak, but maybe that's old fashioned to say so. Anyway, on social media there are some women and a few guys who dwell on breakups, and I don't really like it, but it is a good study of psychology.

Why should one dwell on breakups? The breakup has already happened, so pick yourself up and move on. I know that several people don't move on easily because of the emotional attachment but they should stop going back to their vomit and learn how to deal with their emotions.

I'm not saying this hasn't happened to me, but since it was rough on me, I know now how to deal with it.

Yes!! That's what I am saying. Find a way to deal with it than sitting on it. The more you dwell, the more difficult it will be to move on.

No. We are not friends, and we are not enemies either. We have both moved on with our lives. Remaining friends with one’s ex is a bad idea. Just bid each other well.

There are some friends that you can't bid goodbye to that easily because they are good. Some of the exes ain't bad, it's just that circumstances didn't allow them to come together. I know that some exes are toxic even while keeping them as friends.

That is true. There are some ex who we can just keep as friends that we don't communicate with on a daily basis, but we can discard others. My biggest worry with talking with an ex is that they can become a distraction to my present relationship especially when we didn't end it well.
