What are the extremely underated songs you believe deserve more recognition?

We all surely know a few songs that seem to be under listened to and underrated. For the that is Fairweather friends by Don Williams. Another one is The Gambler by Kenny Rogers.

What songs do you believe deserve more recognition than they get?
 
Touch by Little Mix is the song that I wish to see gain more recognition. It has got a lot of fans who enjoy pop music with its energetic and active dancing beats which I like so much.
 
There was one time that I listened to one song, I don't know how it reshuffled to play, it was just a local rapper from an Africa country. That song carried fire but I don't know if people are listening to it.

Did you find out the title of the song and the name of the artist?

I couldn't and from the questions I asked people, none were able to know the person. It's an upcoming artist, that's why he wasn't known that much. I know that I will get to know his name one day.

You never know, there will come a time when you will just come across the song again. It has happened to me many times.

That is just the beauty of music. There are times when I will just hear a song I’ve been searching for in a while and that moment will be memorable to me.
 
A genre I want to say is Trip-Hop/ down tempo. Also of it is so nice almost humid and heavy feeling if that makes sense.

Neon Heights- Sweet Bird

-Heard this for the first time circa 2012/2013 in a fan made “The Weeknd” music video”. Forgot the song then finally a year ago after 10 years of loosing this song I came across it. The female vocals are out of this world I believe it’s “Zoe Johnston”. But this song I think came out early 00s. I’d love to find more music similar to this gem

-Both of these songs are so atmospheric and were featured in the movie “Alpha Dog” still I think have that same downtempo/trip hop vibe took forever to locate these songs but again so hard to find this type of music

Bent- I love my man
(Recently discovered this back in April of this year. Such a gem it makes me feel I’m relaxing on a Thai beach and the sun is setting) was my song of the summer of 2025 but it’s old one.

Honestly the more I dive into the genre of Downtempo/ Trip-Hop I realize ALOT of what made the early “The Weeknd” music so good was that influence nobody talks about… from Trilogy to Kissland. The best way to describe Trip-Hop is modern but super nostalgic at the same time.
