Is it worth it to pay for premium on streaming platforms?

Sometimes before I renew my Spotify subscription I will sit down and think whether I am actually getting a good deal for my money. The advantage of premium is that I get to listen to songs offline and can repeat as often as I like.
I can’t do that with the free version. But I can still listen online.

Do you thing it is worth it paying for premium?

I have always paid for premium version on my Spotify. I can't have ads interrupting my songs when I'm playing. It's why I've always used premium service.
It can be annoying to have ads play every time you want to listen to music. Imagine being asked to connect to a speaker at a gathering and be having those ads interruptions. I get your point in that aspect.

Yes, it's all about avoiding the ads for me too. My theory is the ads aren't actually designed to sell anything, they're just designed to be annoying enough to make you pay for premium.

I can't imagine myself using a free and regular Spotify version. The premium version isn't expensive. Why wouldn't I want to pay that especially when there's not going to be one single ads in my stream?

As if you read my mind. The ads is just for you to pay for the premium. I have been enjoying my songs by subscribing on the premium version, besides it wasn't expensive.

I do not think I can use any streaming platform without subscribing to the premium. I hate ads so much so I can not bear them in the slightest way.

When I hear some people playing songs and it gets interrupted by ads, I'm annoyed very well. Can't they spare ordinary $5 to enjoy premium service of any streaming app they are using?

The ads are most time annoying and paying for a premium is just a little sacrifice which ends up helping one enjoy nice songs from their Spotify.

Premium services are the best. I can understand some people don't want to pay for it but if I can't pay for what keeps me entertained, I wonder what else I can pay for.

You understand the value you get out of the premium services that is why you go for it. Some feel they do quite alright with free service.

I've kept my Spotify Premium subscription for three years, but one day I forgot to renew it, and suddenly all the music I downloaded became unplayable. I understand this is normal for most streaming platforms, but I can't accept it. I'm looking for a way to keep my music forever. If you're doing the same things as me, you can read this article: How to Keep Spotify Downloads Permanently?

If you understand their terms and conditions well you will know that is their policy. Once your subscription has a over you do not have access to the songs on repeat anymore. It’s quite different a little from the other streaming platforms.
